ONE FOR THE ROAD:
This picture was shot on ‘Dhanaulti – Chamba’ highway, along the Himalayan ranges.
Feedback is always appreciated.

Very kind in fact cause my head is spinning with heat waves and you won’t stop putting pictures of Himalaya 😉
hahahahaha 😆
That paved road is in better condition than I’d have imagined! No frost heaves!
Having never spent a winter in hills, I’d to google ‘frost heaving’ to know what you were referring to 🙂
The condition of road in this particular state was quite nice. No frost heaving was observed. However it may be present during winters perhaps.
Maybe in those hills the layer of permafrost is so close to the surface that there can’t be a freeze-thaw cycle that would cause the destruction of the road!
Driving over frost heaves is not something enjoyable! >:-D That road is beautifully paved.
Compostition-wise, love how the road just seems to disappear into the landscape. Don’t know what the area is like, but it gives me the feeling that the land rules, and the road is a guest at the will of the envorenment.
Later…
Thank you Scott for your kind words. I am glad you noticed the composition 🙂
And yes you have guessed it right… the road is guest in this region.
Regards
Beautifully captured !
Thanks Ritwika 🙂
