Sailing for faraway markets..

I shot this image on a ship, as she sails towards faraway markets.

The image has been lit primarily by moonlight alone.

A couple of stars are visible in this image. The Orion’s belt, with ‘Alnilam’ in the centre is visible on far left top (three stars close together in a line). Just right of that, on top of the funnel stack is ‘Betelguese’ and ‘Bellatrix’ just under it. ‘Aldebran’ is visible just left of the white dome. ‘Alnath’ is visible directly on top of the white dome and ‘Capella’ is just above the masthead light, the bright yellowish light on the mast. It’s a beautiful night with clear visibility.
