The city of Tarragona, Spain, was known as Tarraco during Roman times and was also the Roman capital of the Iberian Peninsula.

The modern city of Tarragona is said to have been built over the ruins of the ancient Roman city. The city offers many glimpses of the ancient Roman architecture, more famous amongst them being the Amphitheatre.

With its Mediterranean climate, the city is a famous tourist spot. People are warm and tourist friendly. Food is sumptuous!

The nearest airport is at Barcelona, which is about 45 minutes’ drive from Tarragona.
